This is a free, 30-minute, in-person consultation at our Vancouver gym. You’ll meet one-on-one with a coach to talk through your goals, challenges, and what kind of training will actually work for you.
There’s no workout and no pressure — just a conversation to see if Empower is the right fit.

Yes. The No Sweat Intro is completely free and comes with no obligation.
We typically run No Sweat Intros in person at our gym because it helps everyone get the most out of the conversation.
Meeting in person allows you to:
- See the space and get a feel for the environment
- Meet a coach face-to-face
- Ask real questions and get honest recommendations
- Decide whether this is a place you can realistically train consistently
We’ve found that people who come in for their intro are more likely to stay consistent and see results long term.
That said, if you’re traveling or dealing with extenuating circumstances, we’re happy to arrange a phone-based No Sweat Intro when appropriate. Just let us know when you book, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
A No Sweat Intro is a great fit if you:
- Want a sustainable approach to fitness
- Value coaching, structure, and accountability
- Want to train safely and intelligently — not recklessly
- Are ready to invest in your long-term health
It may not be the best fit if you’re primarily looking for:
- Self-led workouts
- Student-priced memberships
- A short-term or quick-fix solution
We aim to be upfront so everyone’s time is respected — including yours.
No. There is no workout during the No Sweat Intro. It’s a conversation only.
The session lasts up to 30 minutes.
You’ll meet with a member of our onboarding team — usually a coach — who will guide the conversation and answer your questions.
Wear whatever you’re comfortable in. No workout clothes are required.
No. The goal is to understand your needs and determine whether Empower is a good fit. If it is, we’ll explain your options clearly. If not, we’ll say so honestly.
That’s exactly who this intro is for. Many of our members started with little or no fitness background.
If we’re a good fit, we’ll recommend the best next step — whether that’s personal training, small-group training, or a specialty program.
