About Coach Amy
Coach Amy's mission is to help people become the best versions of themselves by providing personalized workouts and nutrition and lifestyle coaching in a safe, fun, motivating, non-threatening environment.
Amy was a heavy kid who avoided gym class and team sports when growing up. She felt too awkward to work out and couldn’t find a fitness routine that fit. This changed after high school when she went for a run and loved the challenge. One run led to another, and before too long, she had run nine marathons and was ready for a new challenge. Serendipitously, her brother introduced her to CrossFit.
She adopted CrossFit’s diet and workout principles and found herself more fit than ever before. She loves that CrossFit movements are scalable to all fitness levels. Amy's 81-year-old mom trains with her at Empower and reports feeling stronger than ever!
From her work in healthcare, Amy has seen firsthand the difference a fit body makes in handling the challenges life throws at us. Health is our real wealth, and exercise and nutrition are our best medicine!

As our resident nutrition expert, Amy coaches Empower’s Fit Over Forty program as well as our many nutrition and lifestyle programs. She co-coaches our Lift Over Forty program along with Coach Barb.
