The CrossFit Community Cup is a brand new, fun, and inclusive competition designed to give everyone — regardless of skill level — a chance to compete and challenge themselves in a fair and exciting way. If you completed all three workouts during the 2025 CrossFit Open, you’re eligible to sign up.
Unlike the Open, where everyone is ranked on one giant global leaderboard, the Community Cup breaks things down by ability level. Based on your Open results, you’ll be placed in a competition tier alongside people who performed similarly. That means you’re not competing against Games athletes — you’re competing with people just like you, with similar experience and capabilities.
Why You Should Do It
This is a great opportunity to continue your CrossFit journey beyond the Open. It gives you:
A chance to compete again — but this time on a more level playing field.
A chance to receive an official ranking, based on your performance in this new, ability-based format.
A way to track progress, compare data, and use those numbers to fuel your training going forward.
A shared experience with the Soul community that feels both challenging and rewarding.
In CrossFit, data matters. It helps us stay accountable, track improvement, and identify areas that need work. This is another chance to collect meaningful data and see where you stand in your training right now.
How and When to Sign Up
Registration Opens: Monday, May 12
Workout Details Released: Monday, June 2
Competition Week: Monday, June 9 through Sunday, June 15
If you’re eligible, you’ll receive an email and dashboard notification from CrossFit inviting you to register for your division. This is based on the workouts you submitted during the Open — so make sure those are complete and finalized.
How It’s Going Down at Team Soul
We’ll be doing all three Community Cup workouts in class the week of June 9–15. If you’re participating officially, you’ll complete the workouts during class time just like everyone else — but you’ll have one of our certified coaches listed as your judge and validating your scores.
We’ll make sure everything is organized and scheduled so you can get your workouts judged, scored, and submitted on time. You’ll be surrounded by the same energy and support you’ve felt throughout the Open — just with the added structure of tiered competition and real-time ranking.
To Sum It Up
This isn’t just for “competitive athletes.” It’s for anyone who wants to push themselves, stay accountable, and experience another layer of what makes CrossFit special. If the Open left you feeling motivated and excited to do more — this is your next step. And we’re going to do it together.
If you’ve got questions or want help registering, just talk to a coach. We’ll help get you set up and ready to go.
