What a weekend in Southern California! The CMMA Team had two fighters on the card for Up Next Fighting 25 at Commerce Casino on May 31. With many exciting fights to watch, CMMA walked away with two amazing victories to add more momentum into the second half of 2025.
Desmond Alvarado made his highly anticipated professional MMA debut. He took on a seasoned veteran in their 10th professional fight and got the job done. Desmond secured a textbook mounted crucifix position and ended the fight with elbows for a TKO. It was a clinical and brutal showing of this young star's skill.
In the main event, Coach Johnny Robles took on UFC Veteran Albert Morales. From the moment the starting bell sounded, these two fighters put on a show. They proved why they are two of the best fighters outside the UFC and did not disappoint the fans. Johnny won via unanimous decision after three rounds against a very tough opponent.
As always, the UNF organization put on an amazing night of fights with some of the brightest rising stars in MMA. For sure CMMA will continue to be a part of future events to showcase more talent. What's next for Desmond and Johnny? After some well deserved rest, they will be back in the lab preparing for the next fights!
