What a weekend for CMMA fighters! For pro fighters and CMMA coaches Aline David and Luis Francischinelli, they came prepared and both finished their fights with knockouts in the first round! At LFA 208 in Santa Cruz, CA, Aline and Luis showed dominant power in their arsenal!
Aline came out and only needed 12 seconds to earn a knockout! As soon as the fight started, she sized up her opponent and with one front kick to the face, her opponent was finished. As a perfect example of always staying prepared, Aline took this fight on 2 weeks notice. Her knockout was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus and it comes as no surprise!
Later in the night, Luis dominated his fight. Within 2 minutes of the first round, Luis landed a roundhouse kick to the head and stunned his opponent which resulted in a knockout after a few more strikes for good measure.
Practice makes perfect! It was clear that these two fighters prepared to use their viscous striking abilities this weekend. Weeks and months of preparation go into getting ready for a fight and Aline and Luis only needed a combined 2 minutes and 12 seconds to get the job done!
Also scheduled to fight was Drake Flores for LXF in Southern California but the bout was cancelled due to his opponent missing weight by several pounds. While Drake showed professionalism by making weight and still offering to fight, his opponent declined, thus scrapping the bout altogether.
