The core curriculum for our youth program includes hi-energy drills and skills designed to build and condition each child’s attitude, behavior and overall character development. Our dynamic, high-energy kid’s karate classes help children build strength, stamina, and flexibility, as well as develop their body, mind and character.
Ages 5-15
The Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program at Team Link NH is a great way for children to learn self defense, stay fit and build character. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that teaches ground self-defense and takedowns. It is based on using leverage, body mechanics and submissions. It does not teach striking like most other disciplines. This class is designed to instill confidence and self-discipline while improving balance, coordination and mental toughness. Each class includes a warm-up, stretching, technical instruction, games related to BJJ concepts and movements and an instructor-supervised sparring session.
Ages 5-12
Our Youth Kickboxing program is a combination of kickboxing, muay thai, and karate, designed to offer fun and challenging classes that build courage, confidence, and character. This class teaches students punches, kicks, knees, elbows, defensive movement, stance and footwork. A typical class includes a warm-up, technical combination drilling, and technical sparring in a controlled environment for those students who demonstrate the proper ability and focus. Competition training is available to those students who show an interest but is not a requirement of the program. Our Youth Kickboxing program makes exercise, hard work, and learning fun!
